CARDET has organized 3 storytelling workshops (3 hours each) for teachers on the 10th, 17th and 23rd of March. During the workshops, our excellent storyteller, Marina Katsaris (http://www.marinakatsari.com/) has guided our teachers through several storytelling techniques that can be applied in the classroom. Using sound, visuals, and hands on activities such as drama, drawing, acting, pantomime, etc., she has provided several ideas to our teachers on how to integrate storytelling in their classes. The teachers were very impressed with the workshops and identified the great value and power of storytelling for learning, for the in-class culture and for the school environment in general.
